TCO certifications for desktops computers

Desktops designed for the environment and usability
Today there are two TCO certifications for desktops; TCO Certified Desktops and TCO’05 Desktops.
In common for these are that they guarantee minimal impact on the environment and good usability.

Note that the label applies to the computer but not the display.

TCO Certified Desktops 3.0

TCO Certified Desktops is the third and the latest TCO criteria document for desktop computers.
The environmental requirements are much tougher in TCO Certified compared with the former TCO'05.

TCO'05 Desktops

This label was launched in 2005.

TCO'99 Desktops

This label was launched in 1999 and has expired.
From January 1st 2009 it will no longer be possible to certify desktops according to the certificate TCO'99 Desktops. Products certified according to TCO'99 will have a maximum life time to December 31st 2011.
