TCO Certified Displays 5

A labelling scheme for computer monitors which are intended for professional office use at both work and home. Monitors labelled with TCO Displays 5 are tested at independent laboratories and fulfil some of the world’s strictest demands for Environmental Impact, Picture Quality and User Safety.

The product shall have a Low Energy Consumption, A World Class Picture Quality and Electrical and Magnetic Field Emissions that do not raise the background levels in a room when the product is under use there. The products have minimal climate and environmental impacts during their lifecycle and levels of chemicals that can affect users are also kept to a minimum.

Manufacturers of TCO labelled products work actively to improve working conditions during the whole of the manufacturing process. TCO has demands for creating a recycling system for monitors in countries there such a system does not yet exist.
