Good picture quality and little impact on the environment A multifunction display is a display used to show moving images, such as surveillance images or animated graphics. These displays are marked with the TCO label TCO’06 Media Displays. Multifunction displays can also be used for TV monitors, particularly LCD monitors.
A TCO label on a multifunction display guarantees:
Good quality of moving pictures
- High visual ergonomic requirements lead to excellent picture quality and good colour reproduction.
- Good picture quality, even when the display shows moving images through so-called short response time, good black level and high standards for grey levels.
Low radiation
- Substantial reduction of magnetic and electrical fields.
- Minimised electrostatic fields.
Low energy consumption
- Low energy consumption, both when the device is running and when it is in standby mode since this has less of an impact on our environment.
Minimal impact on the environment
- The manufacturer must be certified in accordance with ISO 14001 or EMAS environmental management system.
- Reduced emission of brominated and chlorinated flame retardants and heavy metals into the environment. (Also complies with the RoHS directive from 1 July 2006).
- The display must be prepared for recycling, which facilitates material recovery.
